Based in southern California, I’m an award-winning novelist and a produced screenwriter with comedy credits in Germany.
I studied classics and sociology at Stanford (B.A.), where I acted in main stage theater productions and a student film. I returned to school to study linguistics at San Jose State University (M.A.).
I’ve written comedic novels under the pen name Gwen Ellery and fantastical suspense as Imogen Bold. As for screenplays, I write them as me, myself and I: Deanna Carlyle. On moving to SoCal, I became active in a development lab for pro screenwriters and actors called Deadline Junkies, a series of table reads in North Hollywood theaters.
In my free time, I hike, read, and study animation and video editing techniques. I’m proficient in After Effects, AVID and Premiere Pro.
