About

Stanford-educated American screenwriter with comedy credits in Germany. Born in the US and based in Central Europe, Deanna Carlyle began screenwriting with a clear mission: to create high-quality, original IP for independent film and prestige television. Building on her experience as a published novelist (“It’s Raining Men”, “Miss Hyde”, “What’s French for WTF?”), her first comedy scripts were team efforts, produced in Germany and shown in festivals there. In the following years, Deanna co-created a children’s adventure series that landed meetings with the BBC and sold a musical animatronics script to Karls, a German amusement park. Now, with renewed vigor, Deanna is committed to developing emotionally resonant stories for international audiences, with a view toward creative collaboration and co-production. https://deannacarlylewriter.com
